Disclaimer: This is my own opinion, on how I saw the drama/movie. I am not exactly stating facts, merely how I saw things with my own eyes, and how I choose to interpret them. You are free to have your own interpretation, but please don't argue with me over who's right or wrong. We'll never finish.

COLD CASE: Shinjitsu no Tobira is a remake of the American crime series Cold Case. This show revolves around a team that solves cold cases nearing/beyond their statute of limitations.
Yuri Ishikawa and her team from Kanagawa Prefecture attempt to solve cases that have been deemed "Cold Cases". These cases could range from 10 to 50 years old.
Cast:
Episodes: 10
Review:
I was initially hesitant to watch this at first, knowing how lighthearted Japanese drama can be at times. But I was bored with nothing to do, and my drama list have dried up. I can tell you though I was thoroughly surprised! It was a well made drama, which you could say was a good equivalent of the original series. They have a developed backstory for the main character, Yuri, and probably bits of details on the rest of the team (not enough in my opinion, they could have developed the rest more). There portrayal of their characters were wonderful; you don't see them as superhuman investigators - they are flawed individuals dealing with their own demons. Everyone has experienced something sad or horrible at some point in their lives, and it makes them all the more excited to crack those cases that have been neglected.
Each episode is an independent story arc, and achieves its resolution per episode, save for the last 2. Most of the crimes here deal with murder, or homicide, and you get to see how sad it is for the family to be left behind not knowing what actually happened, and never getting proper closure. Our team ensures that justice is served, no matter how late.
